Jib Cranes

Compare jib crane arrangements for your workstation. Define coverage radius, hook height, total suspended load and the available mounting structure.

Select a jib crane by coverage, mounting and the complete suspended load. Then choose the hoist or lifting device and end tool for the workpiece.

Define the configuration

Selection item

What to provide

Mounting

Compare floor, wall and articulating arrangements against the workstation.

Radius and height

Define reachable pickup/placement points and usable hook height.

Movement

Review the documented slewing/travel and any powered options.

Complete equipment

Identify crane, hoist, trolley, gripping tool and utility interfaces.

Check the installation boundary

A crane structure, vacuum lifting station and bare hoist are different supply scopes. Keep capacity definitions, installed equipment and responsibilities aligned when comparing models or prices.

Move from a layout to equipment

Prepare a workstation drawing and the required load/movement information. Review the actual model specifications and identify included hoist, controls and attachments before requesting the final installation and quotation scope.

Further questions for your purchasing review

Which equipment and installation items affect a jib crane quotation?

Capacity, span, height, slewing or travel, lifting equipment, structural work and installation affect the total cost.

Compare mounting arrangements and alternatives

Arrangement

When to review it

Floor-mounted jib cranes

A local lifting area around a column. Start with working radius, usable hook height and the proposed foundation.

Wall-mounted jib cranes

A local working area supported from a suitable wall or building column. Review structural support and fixing reactions.

Articulating jib cranes

Access around workstations or obstructions. Check the joint positions and reachable area throughout the task.

Workstation cranes

Transfers across a defined production area. Establish coverage, supports, travel path and headroom.

Gantry cranes

A working span between supporting legs. Establish clear width, height, access and permitted relocation conditions.

Draw the usable jib crane working area

Select mounting and movement before ordering the lifting device. The jib structure and the load-handling assembly must have a defined compatible interface and complete load scope.

Layout item

What to mark

Coverage

Working radius and usable arc at every task position.

Complete suspended load

Workpiece, tool, lifter and relevant rigging.

Lifting arrangement

Hoist, vacuum tube or cylinder and required stroke.

Supply boundary

Structure, tool, utilities, foundations and installation responsibilities.
