Vacuum Lifting & Handling FAQ
Equipment selection, vacuum technology, configurations, ordering and support. Find a starting point, then discuss your specific application.
Equipment selection
What is a vacuum lifter, and how does it work?
A vacuum lifter grips a workpiece using a pressure difference between a suction pad and the surrounding air. The system needs a compatible contact surface, a vacuum source and controls to attach and release the load.
The lifting movement depends on the equipment type. A tube lifter raises the load using its lifting tube; a suspended lifting frame normally works with a separate hoist or crane. A glass lifting robot combines a gripping unit with a mobile positioning machine.
What is the difference between a vacuum tube lifter and a vacuum lifting frame?
A tube lifter combines gripping and vertical movement in one vacuum-powered lifting unit. It is a useful starting point for repeated transfers of bags, cartons and suitable panels. A lifting frame grips the load while another lifting machine provides the main vertical movement.
Choose by the handling cycle: load shape, pickup height, travel path, positioning accuracy and required tilting. Comparing only the maximum lifting capacity can hide important differences in how the systems work.
How do I choose the right lifting capacity?
Start with the heaviest actual workpiece, then check the permitted rating for its surface, orientation and operating position. A maximum rated capacity may apply only to a particular pad layout, reach or material.
The supporting crane or host machine must also accommodate the lifting attachment and any other suspended tooling. Ask for the usable workpiece capacity of the complete proposed system, with the relevant conditions written into the quotation.
Check before ordering: Maximum and minimum workpiece weight, including packaging where applicable; Load dimensions, center of gravity and pickup orientation; Required reach, lift height, tilt and rotation
Which materials can vacuum lifting equipment handle?
The Easytech range covers equipment families for glass, metal sheet, stone, paving units, cladding panels, wood panels, bags and cartons. A material name alone does not establish compatibility: two products made from the same material can have very different surfaces and leakage rates.
Provide representative photographs and the actual surface condition. Porous, textured, coated, perforated or flexible loads need a more specific gripping review than a smooth, sealed sheet.
Can a vacuum lifter handle porous or rough surfaces?
Sometimes, with a system selected for the leakage and surface geometry. A suitable seal and sufficient airflow can make some porous materials practical to handle. An ordinary glass suction pad should not be assumed suitable for an unsealed sack or rough concrete.
For Easytech tube lifters, read the separate sealed-surface and porous-surface load entries where provided. A sample test should represent the least favorable material condition expected in production.
Can I calculate lifting capacity from suction cup diameter alone?
No. Pressure difference multiplied by effective sealed area gives an ideal static force, not an approved working load. Effective area may differ from the area calculated from the outside diameter of the pad.
Actual selection must also account for leakage, load direction, friction, acceleration, pad placement and the required design margins. Use the rated configuration and its operating limits rather than converting an ideal suction-force calculation directly into kilograms.
When should I choose a mechanical gripper instead of vacuum?
Consider mechanical gripping when the workpiece cannot provide a dependable sealing area, or when an approved rim, core, hole or other feature offers a better gripping interface. A mechanical gripper also needs a compatible load path; a weak carton edge or unsupported drum lid is not automatically a lifting point.
Share the part drawing and permitted contact areas so the end effector can be reviewed together with the manipulator, balancer or hoist.
When is a sample lifting test useful?
A sample test is particularly useful when leakage, surface marks, flexibility or access is uncertain. It can help assess whether the proposed pad or gripper fits the real workpiece before the configuration is finalized.
Agree on what the test must demonstrate: the representative load, contact surface, movement, cycle and acceptance criteria. A successful demonstration with one clean sample does not establish suitability for every production variation.
Can I simply add the ratings of several handheld vacuum cups?
No. Load sharing, gripping direction, surface condition and the handling arrangement must all be assessed. Several individual cup ratings do not by themselves establish a safe assembly capacity, and a handheld cup is not automatically a crane-suspended lifting device.
Glass lifting & installation
Should I choose a glass vacuum lifter or a glazing robot?
Choose a suspended vacuum lifter when a suitable crane or hoist will perform the main lifting and travel. Consider a glazing robot when the task also needs mobile transport and controlled positioning near the installation point.
For a robot, check route access, floor loading, machine width and the load chart at the required reach. For a suspended lifter, check hook clearance, rigging geometry and whether the crane can reach the setting position.
How much glass can a vacuum lifter lift?
The permitted load is model- and configuration-specific. Check the published rating together with glass dimensions, pad layout, orientation and any operating restrictions; glass weight alone is not enough.
Use the detailed specification table for the exact Easytech listing. Where the table includes a condition-specific capacity, that value takes priority over a capacity inferred from the model name. Ask for the approved pad arrangement for your smallest and largest panes.
Can the lifter rotate glass through 360 degrees and tilt it through 90 degrees?
Some configurations provide these movements, but the range and actuation differ. Read rotation and tilting as separate specifications, and check whether each movement is manual or powered.
A 360° rotation entry describes an angular movement, not a temperature rating. Confirm locking positions, operator access, clearance and the permissible load during the movement. Do not apply one model’s motion range to an entire product family.
Can standard flat-glass suction cups lift curved glass?
Do not assume that a pad designed for flat glass can maintain its seal on curved glass. Curvature affects pad contact, frame geometry and how the load is supported.
Send the curve radius or drawing, whether the contact face is concave or convex, glass dimensions and weight, and the required movement. The curved-glass configuration needs a matched pad layout and a review of the actual contact surface.
The ETJS-M312, ETJS-M316 and ETJS-M624 curved-glass records state a radius of at least 0.5 m. This is not approval for every pane above that radius: match the concave or convex contact, pad seating and complete frame arrangement.
Can vacuum cups mark coated glass or insulated glass units?
Contact marks and coating compatibility depend on the pad material, cleanliness and the glass surface. Do not assume that a standard pad or a removable protective film provides an acceptable interface.
Identify the coated face, whether the protective film stays in place, and the construction of the insulated unit. Agree on permitted gripping surfaces and acceptable marking before choosing pads; use a representative sample where appearance is critical.
What should I check about a dual-circuit vacuum lifter?
Check how the two circuits are separated and what load each circuit is rated to retain in the approved arrangement. The number of suction cups alone does not prove circuit independence.
Ask for the circuit diagram, monitoring and warning functions, and the permitted configuration for the installation task. Features seen on a reference photograph must be confirmed for the actual equipment being supplied.
Can a glazing robot lift its maximum load at maximum reach?
Only if its load chart expressly permits that combination. A headline maximum capacity and a maximum extension are often separate limits.
Review the specific load at the required height, reach and arm position, along with any support-leg or counterweight requirements. Include the entire route to the installation point, door widths, thresholds, slopes and floor loading in the selection review.
Can glass lifting equipment be used outdoors?
Outdoor suitability must be stated for the model and configuration. Review weather exposure, wind limits, temperature, visibility, access and the condition of the supporting ground or structure.
Large panes can be strongly affected by wind even when their weight is within the lifting rating. Battery operation or tracked travel does not by itself establish permission to work in rain, on slopes or in all site conditions.
Bags & cartons
How do I select a vacuum lifter for bags or sacks?
Specify the bag contents, filled weight, dimensions, packaging material and where the bag can be gripped. Paper, woven, lined and plastic sacks may need different sealing arrangements.
Describe pickup from pallets or conveyors, the highest stacking level and whether the bag must be tipped or opened. The suction head, lifting stroke, handle and supporting crane need to fit the entire transfer cycle.
Can a vacuum tube lifter handle cartons without crushing them?
It can be a suitable approach when the suction head spreads the load over a compatible area and the carton can withstand the gripping forces. Weak flaps, damaged board, openings and loose lids require particular attention.
Provide the carton construction, filled weight and the intended top or side gripping face. Evaluate both the vacuum seal and the strength of the packaging, including any labels or tape in the contact area.
Why are sealed-surface and porous-surface capacities different?
Porous material lets air enter through the workpiece, so the available vacuum and lifting performance can differ from a sealed surface. Use the surface-specific rating stated for the chosen configuration.
For example, the Easytech ETJSQ-V100-30 listing specifies 30 kg on sealed surfaces and 25 kg on loose or porous surfaces. These are separate ratings for that listing, not a universal reduction rule for all tube lifters.
Is lifting tube length the same as usable lifting stroke?
No. Tube length is a component dimension; lifting stroke describes the permitted vertical travel. Headroom, suspension height, suction head and operator handle also affect the usable working envelope.
The ETJSQ-V100-30 listing, for example, gives a 2,500 mm tube length and a 1,700 mm lifting stroke. Check the complete installed geometry against the lowest pickup and highest placement positions.
Can one tube lifter handle different bags and boxes?
Potentially, if each workpiece is compatible with an approved suction head and the system has sufficient capacity and travel. A change of head may also change the minimum load, operator position or handling method.
Send a table of package sizes, weights and materials. Ask which changes require a different head, settings or a separate configuration, and whether a compatible quick-change connection is included.
How many bags or boxes can a tube lifter move per hour?
Throughput depends on the whole process: gripping time, travel distance, lift stroke, placement precision, release time and the arrival of the next load. A lifting speed specification is not a guaranteed hourly output.
Describe a representative cycle and the expected peak and sustained production rates. A layout review or agreed cycle demonstration is more useful than an output figure without stated operating conditions.
What should I specify for dusty or hygienic handling areas?
Describe the dust, product-contact requirements, cleaning agents and cleaning method. The filter, suction head, seals, tube covering and other exposed parts must be considered together.
Do not infer washdown suitability, food-contact compliance or hazardous-area approval from stainless-steel construction alone. State the required documents and environment in the enquiry so the proposed configuration can be checked against them.
Sheets, panels & slabs
What should I specify for sheet metal loading onto a laser cutting machine?
Provide the range of sheet lengths, widths, thicknesses, weights and material grades. Include where the sheets are stored and the required loading height, travel path and machine access clearance.
The pad spacing and frame must support the sheet without unacceptable bending. State whether tilting, sheet separation or handling cut parts is required, because these are different tasks from transferring an intact sheet.
Can a vacuum lifter handle oily or perforated metal sheets?
These conditions need separate assessment. Oil can affect friction and seal compatibility; holes can create leakage wherever they intersect a gripping area. A rating for clean solid sheet should not be carried over automatically.
Send a hole pattern or drawing, oil details and photographs. The review may require a different pad layout, seal material or gripping method, followed by a representative application test.
Does a vacuum lifter prevent two metal sheets being picked up together?
Not by the vacuum gripping function alone. Sheets can adhere to one another, and a lifter designed to hold one sheet does not automatically identify a second attached sheet.
If single-sheet feeding matters to your process, state the need for separation and detection explicitly. Ask which devices and controls are included in the proposed scope and how their performance will be verified.
Can the same lifter handle polished stone and rough concrete?
Not necessarily. A polished slab, textured stone and porous concrete can require different seal geometry, airflow and contact-area arrangements. Use the permitted material and surface conditions for the chosen configuration.
Provide the finish, porosity, thickness, weight and any reinforcement or mesh backing. When a slab is thin or fragile, the support pattern and the material’s own strength are also important.
What information is needed to select a paver or block lifter?
Supply the unit dimensions, maximum weight, material, top-surface texture and whether it is dry or wet during handling. Include the placement pattern and the access available to the lifting equipment.
Clarify whether the task is lifting individual units or multiple units. That distinction affects the sealing footprint and load distribution; a single-unit configuration should not be assumed suitable for a complete layer.
What is different about lifting roof and wall sandwich panels?
Long sandwich panels need a gripping and support arrangement compatible with the panel profile, facing and core construction. The installation direction and required tilting also matter.
Provide panel length, width, thickness, weight, rib profile and allowable gripping areas, plus the roof slope or wall installation position. Confirm whether protective film stays on during lifting and whether the panel supplier permits that lifting method.
For ET-CL-ROOF-1000, compare 1,000 kg horizontal with 500 kg vertical at the stated 60% vacuum condition. Panel support, contact profile and installation access remain separate checks.
Can vacuum lifters handle MDF, plywood and laminated wood panels?
Suitable configurations may handle these panels, but raw board and laminated surfaces can have very different air leakage. Board thickness, stiffness and available gripping area also affect selection.
Specify both faces and edges of the material, the panel size range and any dust or machining residue. Use the rating for the actual surface, and check the layout for the smallest panel as well as the largest.
Can a handheld vacuum lifter be suspended from a crane?
Only when the exact product is expressly designed and rated for that use and has an approved lifting connection. A handle intended for manual carrying is not evidence of a rated suspension point.
Distinguish handheld positioning tools from crane-suspended lifting attachments when comparing products. Provide the intended handling method, lifting height and supporting equipment before selecting a tool.
Can a vacuum lifter handle corrugated sandwich panels?
The pad contact arrangement must match the panel profile. Send the cross-section, rib spacing, surface coating, dimensions and weight, together with the installation orientation. Suitability is assessed for the panel and pad combination rather than assumed from the panel name.
What are the pad choices for the 2,000 kg ET-SM-C2000-3M?
There are two alternative arrangements: 20 pads of 200 mm diameter, or 16 pads of 250 mm diameter. Each arrangement is specified for a 2,000 kg rated load. Choose the arrangement with Easytech using the sheet dimensions, thickness, surface and required support pattern; the two pad sets are not combined.
What rated load should I use when selecting the paving cart?
Use 150 kg for ET-PV-150 in its handling mode. The separate 600 kg specification applies to its pallet-fork mode; it is not a vacuum-handling rating. Include unit dimensions, surface, placement and site-access requirements when requesting the arrangement.
Industrial lift assistance
What is an industrial manipulator?
An industrial manipulator is a handling system that supports a load while an operator guides it through a defined working area. The arm, balancing mechanism and task-specific end effector work together.
For procurement, describe the movement and permitted gripping points as well as the load. A manipulator for one part family may need different tooling or a different configuration for another part with the same weight.
How do I choose between a manipulator, an intelligent balancer and a hoist?
Compare how each system guides the load. A rigid-arm manipulator can define a handling envelope and support specialized tooling; an intelligent lifting device can provide assisted vertical positioning; a hoist supplies lifting through its specified control method.
The right choice depends on reach, stroke, offset load, accuracy and the number of repeated movements. Evaluate the end effector and supporting crane alongside the lifting device.
Should a lift-assist system be pneumatic or electric?
Start with the required motion, available utilities and working environment. For a pneumatic system, specify available pressure, airflow and air quality at the equipment; for an electric system, specify voltage, phase and frequency.
Compare control response, duty cycle, installation and maintenance requirements for the actual proposal. Neither drive type automatically makes a system suitable for hazardous areas or every production task.
What information is needed for roll or reel handling equipment?
Provide maximum roll weight, outside diameter, width, core diameter and core material. State whether gripping the core or the outside surface is permitted and whether the roll must rotate or change from vertical to horizontal.
Also show the pickup position and the destination shaft or machine interface. Core access, insertion clearance and the roll’s center of gravity can determine the appropriate end effector.
How do I choose drum handling equipment?
Identify the drum material, filled weight, dimensions, lid construction and approved lifting features. A steel drum rim, plastic drum and open-top container may require different gripping methods.
Describe whether you need transport, stacking, tilting or controlled pouring. Include available floor space and containment requirements. Do not select only by drum volume: the filled weight and approved gripping interface are the relevant inputs.
Is the gripper included with every manipulator or balancer?
Check the scope of the exact quotation. A photograph may show application-specific tooling, a demonstration workpiece or supporting equipment that is not part of a base unit.
Ask for separate line items for the arm or lifting device, end effector, mounting structure, utilities and controls. Confirm the resulting usable payload after the required tooling is installed.
How much does a custom industrial manipulator cost?
The price depends on the arm, reach, mounting, controls and workpiece gripper. Send the workpiece drawing, weight range, centre of gravity and full handling sequence. Ask for separate identification of tooling, installation interfaces, testing and included documents so that competing offers describe the same task.
Does every intelligent lifting device have float mode?
No. ET-IL-FB records describe float assistance throughout the travel, ET-IL-AS records describe assisted float mode, and ET-IL-UP records describe powered up/down lifting without float mode. Include tooling weight, lifting range and the placement task when comparing these control functions. Required speed, accuracy or control integration must be specified for the actual proposal rather than inferred from the word intelligent.
Cranes & lifting systems
What is a jib crane, and when is it useful?
A jib crane carries a lifting device on an arm that rotates around a support. It can serve a local work area such as a machine-loading point, pallet station or assembly bench.
Specify the required radius, rotation, hook height and load. The column or wall connection, foundation and nearby obstructions must be checked for the selected installation; nominal arm length alone does not describe the full usable work area.
Should I choose a jib crane, workstation crane or portable gantry?
Compare the shape and location of the required coverage. A jib serves a rotating local area, a workstation bridge system can cover a rectangular area, and a gantry provides a beam supported by legs.
Consider headroom, columns, access routes, floor conditions and future changes to the workstation. A portable gantry’s ability to relocate does not automatically mean it may travel while carrying a suspended load.
How do I account for the lifter’s weight when selecting a crane?
Identify everything carried by the crane: the workpiece, vacuum frame or end effector, rigging and other relevant attachments. Then review the combined load against the ratings of the crane, hoist and interfaces in the intended arrangement.
Ask the supplier to distinguish the workpiece payload from the complete suspended load. The rating on one component is not a rating for the assembled system.
Does a jib crane need a concrete foundation?
The mounting requirements depend on the crane design and site structure. A floor-mounted, wall-mounted or specially designed relocatable unit can have different installation requirements.
Provide drawings or details of the existing slab, support structure and proposed position. Obtain the installation requirements for the selected model and an appropriate structural review. Do not reuse anchor sizes or foundation dimensions from an unrelated installation.
Can a forklift vacuum attachment use the forklift’s full nameplate capacity?
Do not assume so. The attachment adds weight and changes the load position relative to the forklift. The applicable residual capacity must be confirmed for the combined forklift, attachment and workpiece at the required lift height.
Provide the forklift make, model, capacity plate, fork or carriage dimensions and attachment details. Include the workpiece center of gravity and any rotation or tilt required during handling.
Can Easytech equipment be fitted to an existing crane or workstation?
It may be possible after the mechanical, load, travel and utility interfaces are checked. An existing hook with sufficient nominal capacity is only one part of that review.
Send hook and trolley dimensions, available headroom, crane ratings, workspace drawings and power or air details. Identify any controls or interlocks that need to work with existing machines so integration is included in the project scope.
What size jib crane do I need for my workstation?
Start with a layout showing pickup and placement positions. Specify the total suspended load, including the workpiece, hoist and lifting tool, together with hook height and available headroom. Review the supporting floor, wall or structure before choosing span and mounting.
Can a jib crane be installed on an existing concrete floor?
An existing floor is not automatically suitable. Supply the floor construction and condition, equipment load, span and mounting geometry for engineering assessment. Foundation and anchoring dimensions must follow the approved design for the installation.
Vacuum components & spares
How do I choose suction cup size, shape and material?
Choose them together for the contact area, surface shape and handling direction. Material compatibility and the effective sealing area matter alongside diameter.
Record the surface finish, temperature, chemicals, permissible marking and smallest available gripping area. Ask for the pad specification and mounting interface; color or visual similarity does not reliably identify the material or working rating.
What is the difference between an electric vacuum pump and a pneumatic ejector?
An electric pump uses a motor to generate vacuum. A pneumatic ejector uses compressed air, commonly through a Venturi arrangement. They impose different requirements on the site utilities.
Selection should consider leakage, required evacuation time, operating vacuum and duty cycle. Confirm the complete supply requirements rather than comparing only motor power or a nominal pressure value.
Is a 0.6–0.8 MPa air supply the same as the operating vacuum?
No. A positive compressed-air supply pressure is a different quantity from the vacuum at the suction pad. Where specified, 0.6–0.8 MPa equals 6–8 bar of supply pressure; it should not be read as a suction-vacuum value.
Ask for supply pressure and airflow separately from the operating vacuum and alarm threshold. The required values must be matched to the supplied equipment and its documentation.
Can I order equipment for my country’s electrical supply?
State the voltage, phase and frequency at the installation point and request the corresponding configuration. A list of selectable voltages does not mean that one supplied machine automatically accepts all of them.
For example, some Easytech tube-lifter entries list 480 / 380 / 220 V, three-phase, selected per order. Confirm frequency, wiring, protection and any separate charger supply in the quotation.
Are replacement cups and hoses interchangeable between machines?
Not simply because they look similar or share a nominal diameter. Check dimensions, connections, material, vacuum compatibility and the specified performance of the original component.
For a replacement request, provide the equipment model and serial reference, part markings, overview and close-up photographs, and measured interface dimensions. Identify whether the part is a wear item or part of a monitored safety function.
Will a larger vacuum pump always increase lifting capacity?
No. A larger pump does not change the rated strength of the frame, pads, connections or supporting machine. It may also be inappropriate for the controls and circuit.
If the system cannot establish the required vacuum, investigate the cause against the equipment manual: leakage, surface changes, damaged seals, filters or incorrect supply may be involved. Capacity upgrades require review of the whole configuration.
Is a replacement suction cup compatible if its diameter matches?
Operation & maintenance
What happens if electrical power or compressed air is lost?
The response depends on the lifting principle and fitted protective systems. A suspended frame may use vacuum retention and warning devices; a tube-lifting system may have a controlled-lowering arrangement. These functions are not interchangeable and must be confirmed for the model.
Ask for the specified loss-of-power behavior, response procedure and any stated retention conditions. There is no universal holding time for every surface and machine, and a battery does not remove the need for an emergency procedure.
What should operators check before using lifting equipment?
Follow the pre-use procedure for the exact supplied equipment. It should address the condition of the gripping parts and load, connections, controls, indicators and required protective functions.
Check that the workpiece and operating configuration fall within the permitted limits and that the handling path is ready. If a required check fails or an operating limit is unclear, take the equipment out of use until the issue is resolved under the applicable procedure.
What should I do if a lifter cannot build or maintain vacuum?
Stop using it for lifting and follow the equipment’s fault procedure. Do not bypass a warning, reduce a safety threshold or keep lifting to see whether the fault clears.
After the load is made safe and the system is isolated as instructed, trained personnel can investigate the surface seal, cups, hoses, filters, valves and supply against the manual. Record the model, warning message and conditions for a support enquiry.
How often should vacuum lifters be inspected and serviced?
Use the manufacturer’s schedule for the supplied model and the inspection requirements applicable to the workplace. Dust, abrasive contact, intensive use and environmental exposure can change the maintenance needs.
Keep records of inspections, replacement parts, faults and service work. A single calendar interval cannot be assigned to all Easytech categories, and a daily visual check does not replace scheduled inspection or servicing.
When should suction cups or seals be replaced?
Follow the component’s wear criteria and the equipment manual. Cuts, cracks, distortion, hardening, contamination or loss of sealing performance are reasons for assessment rather than continuing to use the component by appearance alone.
Replace parts with the specified compatible version, and complete the required checks before returning the machine to service. Pads stored for long periods also need inspection; low usage alone does not prove good condition.
How should suction cups and filters be cleaned?
Use the cleaning method and materials specified for the particular pad, filter and machine. Solvents, abrasives or oils can damage some seal materials or change how they grip.
Identify the contamination and the component reference before choosing a cleaner. Do not wash electrical or vacuum components unless the equipment instructions expressly allow that procedure, and replace a filter when its service criteria require it.
What training and equipment documents should I request?
Request the operating manual for the supplied configuration, permitted operating limits, maintenance instructions and the applicable conformity or inspection documents. Define any operator familiarization and commissioning requirements in the order.
The relevant documentation depends on the machine and destination. A generic brochure or certificate for a different model is not a substitute for documents that identify the equipment being purchased.
Do temperature and altitude affect vacuum lifting?
They can. Ambient pressure affects the available pressure difference, while temperature can affect seals, batteries, pumps and the workpiece. The overall machine may have tighter limits than one individual component.
State the operating altitude, ambient range and contact-surface temperature in the enquiry. Request the permitted operating envelope for the complete configuration instead of assuming that a standard indoor rating applies.
How often does a jib crane need inspection?
Use the equipment instructions, service conditions and applicable local requirements to establish the inspection schedule. Keep pre-use checks and periodic inspections recorded separately. A generic online interval does not replace the requirements for your installed system.
What should glazing robot training cover?
The handover should address the supplied controls, load chart, travel and positioning tasks, alarms, battery charging, pre-use checks and operating limits. Agree the training and documentation scope for the ordered model; do not assume that one machine’s procedure applies to another.
Ordering & delivery
How much does a vacuum lifter or glazing robot cost?
Price depends on the equipment family, capacity, pad or gripper configuration, powered movements, utilities, mounting and project documentation. A price for a bare lifting unit is not directly comparable with a complete installed handling system.
Send the load and application details to request a configuration-specific quotation. Ask for the equipment, options, supporting structure, packaging and delivery scope to be listed separately so proposals can be compared on the same basis.
What determines the cost of a drum, reel or lift-assist system?
The end effector, required movements and installation can be as important as the nominal load. A simple transfer and a controlled tilt-and-pour process can require different tooling and controls.
Include container or roll dimensions, approved gripping features, pickup and placement positions, and the production cycle in the request. Compare quotations using the same workpiece and acceptance criteria.
What information should I send to get an accurate quotation?
Start with a representative workpiece and a clear description of the transfer. If the model is already known, include its exact reference and the options you need.
Photographs and a simple layout often resolve questions that weight alone cannot answer. Send the following information with your enquiry:
Check before ordering: Material, surface condition, dimensions and minimum / maximum weight; Pickup and placement heights, travel distance, required tilt or rotation; Available electrical supply or compressed air; mounting or host machine details; Site conditions, destination country, quantity and required documents
Can I request a custom configuration?
Yes. Describe the requirement and request a feasibility review. Common discussion points include workpiece-specific pads or grippers, reach, travel, mounting interfaces and the required movement.
The review must establish whether the requirement can be met and what changes are needed. Custom capacity, dimensions, controls and acceptance criteria should be agreed in writing; an enquiry does not itself confirm engineering feasibility.
What are the production lead time and delivery terms?
Request lead time and delivery terms for the confirmed configuration and destination. Standard equipment, custom tooling, documentation and testing can have different schedules.
Ask which event starts the lead-time period, what is included in packing and transport, and which delivery term applies. The website does not assign one lead time, shipping price or delivery promise to all products.
What warranty and after-sales support are included?
Have the warranty period, coverage, exclusions and support method stated in the quotation or supply agreement. Ask separately about consumable parts, replacement availability and any installation or commissioning service.
For support, retain the equipment model, serial reference, supplied configuration and operating records. These details help identify the correct documentation and parts without relying only on a product photograph.
Do product photos and videos show the exact supplied configuration?
They may show a series variant, optional attachment, application equipment or a demonstration workpiece. Use the written specification and agreed scope to identify the configuration being supplied.
If a feature in an image or video matters to your project, include it in the enquiry and request confirmation. This is especially useful for pad counts, extension arms, powered movements, host machines and special grippers.
How can I contact Easytech about a project?
