Jib Crane Cost: Compare the Complete Installed Scope

Compare jib crane quotations with the same load, reach, height and installation scope. A bare crane structure price is not the cost of a complete lifting workstation.

Fix the equipment requirement first

State the workpiece and lifting-tool weights, required coverage radius, hook height and mounting position. Identify whether the crane supports a conventional hoist, vacuum lifter or other tool. Include a layout showing pickup, placement and obstructions.

Cost group

What belongs in the comparison

Crane structure

Mounting format, rated configuration, reach, height and slewing arrangement.

Lifting equipment

Hoist, trolley, controls, gripping tool and any accessories.

Installation

Approved foundation/support, anchors, assembly, utility connection and commissioning.

Transport

Packing, shipment, destination, unloading and agreed delivery terms.

Handover

Applicable drawings, instructions, acceptance records and any agreed spare parts.

Mark included, optional and excluded items

Use one row for each deliverable and ask for its status in every quotation. Two offers with different foundation responsibilities or hoist/tool inclusions cannot be compared on their totals alone. Record the exact model and configuration revision beside the price.

Consider lifetime cost using your own operating inputs

Installation changes, energy, consumables, maintenance and downtime can affect the cost of ownership. Use your expected operating hours, workpiece mix and service arrangement. State assumptions explicitly instead of applying an unsupported industry-wide payback figure.

Information to send for a quotation

  • Scaled layout with mounting, pickup, placement and working height.
  • Complete suspended-load definition and required movements.
  • Available structural/floor information and installation constraints.
  • Utilities, quantity, destination and required project documents.
  • Requested inclusion of installation, commissioning, instruction and spare parts.

A bare column price and a lifting assembly price are different scopes

ET-CR-POST-500 — Jib Crane Column & 3 m Arm — ET-CR-POST-500 lists a 500 kg column and 3 m jib, with the lifter excluded.

ET-CR-CYL-500 — Pneumatic Cylinder & Vacuum Pad Frame Assembly — ET-CR-CYL-500 lists the pneumatic cylinder, pad frame and figure-8 connector, with the column excluded.

Neither record alone is the cost of an installed handling station. Confirm the compatible combination, structural design, utilities and commissioning before adding quoted item prices. Do not assume these records authorize any unreviewed combination.

Keep one-off and recurring costs separate

One-off scope

Recurring inputs for your own estimate

Equipment, installation and transport

Energy under the actual duty pattern.

Tooling and initial spare package

Replacement seals, filters and agreed service.

Commissioning and instruction

Planned examination, maintenance and downtime.

Keep currency, quantity, delivery terms and assumptions consistent across offers. A universal savings or payback claim cannot replace your own operating inputs.
